The Leapmotor C16 is a mid-to-large-size new energy SUV from Leapmotor. It offers both extended-range and all-electric powertrains, along with 5-seat or 6-seat configurations. Key features include an “MPSUV”-style spacious interior, 800V fast-charging capability, and an intelligent driving system powered by LiDAR.

Pure Electric (BEV): Rear-mounted motor (215/230kW); 74.9/81.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery; CLTC range of 580/630 km; 800V architecture; 30%–80% charging time of approximately 15–16 minutes.

Chassis: MacPherson strut front suspension and five-link rear suspension; rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration. Higher-trim models feature FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) or adaptive suspension, tuned for a comfortable, family-oriented driving experience. No air suspension or all-wheel drive (AWD) available.
Intelligent Driving: The LiDAR-equipped “Smart Supreme” (智尊版) trim utilizes a Hesai LiDAR sensor paired with a computing platform—comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 or NVIDIA Orin—supporting Highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), commute-assist navigation, and full-scenario automated parking. The “Premium” trim lacks LiDAR and offers basic Level 2 (L2) driver-assistance features.
Cockpit: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, the system includes a 14.6-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Higher-trim models add a 17.3-inch rear-seat display and a 60-inch AR-HUD. It runs on the Leapmotor OS and features a four-zone voice control system. Additional amenities include ventilated, heated, and massaging second-row seats, fold-out tray tables, a 7.5L dual-temperature (cooling/heating) refrigerator, a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, and Nappa leather upholstery (on higher-trim models).
